How to disable the visual editor in WordPress
Ever get tired of having to select the HTML tab when you are creating a new post in WordPress? The solution is simple, disable the Visual Editor. Just follow these simple steps:
- Log into your WordPress Admin
- Click on USERS
- Click on YOUR PROFILE from the Users sub-menu
- On the Profile page, simply click the check box next to Visual Editor [ ] Disable the visual editor when writing.
Save it the settings and you are done. FYI – I’ve only tested this in WordPress 2.7.1, not sure if it works the same way in older builds.
