Twhirl is a twitter tool built on the Adobe Air platform. I just downloaded it today and started playing around with it, but I like what I see already. You can have mulitple windows open at the same time, each displaying a different account. This is a great option in my opinion. I generally have been using hootsuite.com to manage all my accounts, but until they develop a desktop client, I think I will work Twhirl into the mix. Some features of Twhirl include:

A great new Twitter tool for growing your network

Twittermass.com is a fairly new Twitter tool for growing your network. It offers the following free features:

I just came across this Twitter tool today, but I like what I’m seeing already. I setup some auto follow filters based on NHL hashtags (#canucks, #nhl, #hockey, and #playoffs) for my Vancouver Canucks fan blog – canucksblog.net, @canucksblog. Twittermass will locate any Tweets using those hashtags and auto follow those users. It’s a great way to grow your network and locate targeted users. This is my favorite one! It is brought to you by hubspot.com, the same company that offers the excellent Website Grader free service. Basically it ranks the effectiveness of your Twitter profile based on a number of variables like followers and post frequency. I’m the #2 Tweeter in North Vancouver! I need to catch up to the other dude in front of me so I can rule my hometown.

Follow Cost

Follow cost is a funny little service that let’s you see the cost of following a person. For example, if you are considering following a new person, you can put in their username and it will tell you how many updates they average a day – aka – their follow cost. Not that useful but kind of entertaining.

Current To Twitter

This is a handy little script that automatically tweets the songs you are playing on iTunes. I thought it was a pretty cool but some of my followers complained about too many updates. One note, I had to install it twice to get it to work.
