Writing for the Web: The Right Strategy
One of my resolutions for 2010 was to try and provide 100% original content on my blog. However, I say that then I see an amazing blog post that I just have to link up. Shay Howe has put together an awesome post on writing great content for the web. This is a must read for any web designer.

In case you missed them the first time, here’s a list of the most popular posts on cardeo.ca from 2009. What kind of posts would you guys like to see more of in 2010? Happy Holidays
I’m heading home to Ontario tomorrow for Christmas and I wanted to say Happy Holidays to everyone before I leave. As well, sorry for the lack of good posts lately. In the first part of 2010, I plan to update the Cardeo Minimal Theme, and release a couple of new themes.

O’Reilly books now available in the Apple App Store
I was surfing around the App Store the other day, and to my delight I noticed that O’Reilly is now offering a number of their titles as iPhone/iPod Apps! I’ve been a fan of their books for a little while now (currently I’m reading Twitter API Up and Running), so I was happy to see they had made the jump to the App Store.

A free job board for Vancouver web and tech heads
For a few months now, I’ve been working on a little side project named vancouverwebjobs.com. The basic premise was to create a free job board service for Vancouver web designers and techies. I played around with the idea of making it a pay board, but after some consideration I decided to go the ad supported route, and keep the actual board free. Welcome to the new Cardeo Blog
Well it’s been a little over year since I started this blog, so I was thinking it was time for an updated look. My main goal was to improve the typography and to make the layout more minimal.
Currently, I’m still in Beta mode and will be doing some testing over the next few days, so please bear with me. If you notice any bugs, it would be much appreciated if you could post them as a comment on this post. I’m also open to feedback on the new design. Thanks for reading!
