(avoiding economy references lol)

it's the perfect time to be offering advice for the hurting job market, so I appreciate your multiple posts regarding finding a job and I don't mean to invalidate your post completely, just wanted to mention that the site (a couple of clicks through) is questionable. :)

infact I am looking for a job in my field (out of college recently and still working an hourly job) - and it is hard in this area. so any help is good help.

Thanks for the heads up Brandon - this post is more about finding work or a job. Working for responsible rates is a another post all together. But I agree with you.

Beware: a high percentage of the web design jobs posted are simply links to getafreelancer.com... a website notorious for low-budget clients looking for a super-deal.

almost all of them put their budgets at $30-$250, sometimes for full website designs! getafreelancer makes a significant contribution to the cheapening of design work and the design industry. it does nothing but hurt real designers that need to make a living.

a website for $200? are you kidding me? it better be 3 pages, static text, and a couple of images at that kind of price.
