Domain Registration with Hover.com
December 11th, 2008
Hover.com is a new domain registrar that looks pretty good. A nice minimal interface and straight forward info about their domain services. Next time I need to register a domain, I’m gonna try them out. It’s got to be better than the daily spam messages I get from godaddy.com.

I find Media Temple a little over priced. I prefer to use dreamhost for my hosting.

You should avoid Hover like the plague. They basically did a rip and replace of their services, leaving paying customers high and dry. It’s an amateur operation, and it cost me hundreds of clients.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience Joe. I can assure you that we’ve not left our customers high and dry – we’ve moved all of our customers from three different legacy systems (some almost 12 years old) onto a new system and while I understand that some folks have had issues adjusting to the new way of doing things, we’re in this business for the long haul and will do whatever it takes to ensure that your experience is a good one. If you have indeed lost “hundreds of clients”, please contact me immediately at 416.538.5492 to see how we can help you with this. I can’t imagine a situation that would have caused such a grave state of affairs, but if we have inadvertently caused you or your clients problems, please let’s work together to fix the situation.
